I've developed marks on my neck from your wetsuit. What can I do?Updated 2 hours ago

Neck irritation can sometimes occur when swimming in a wetsuit, often due to friction between the collar and the skin. Repeated head and neck movements during swimming, particularly when turning to breathe, can increase rubbing around the neckline.

There are several ways to help minimise irritation and improve comfort:

Use anti-chafe balm: Applying lubricant, such as our 100% Natural Glide, to the areas where the wetsuit collar contacts your skin can help reduce friction. This is one option to consider, particularly for longer swims.

Check your head position: Holding your head too high in the water can increase pressure and contact between the skin at the back of your neck and the wetsuit collar. A relaxed, natural head position may help reduce friction.

Consider the conditions: Saltwater and prolonged exposure to water may aggravate already irritated skin. Applying anti-chafe balm before swimming may help minimise rubbing in these conditions.

Check your wetsuit fit: Your wetsuit should fit snugly without the collar feeling excessively tight or restrictive. An unsuitable fit may increase friction around the neck. If you're unsure which size is right for you, our Customer Service team can help you find the most suitable fit.

If irritation develops, allow your skin time to recover before swimming again. If the marks are painful, persistent or worsening, seek medical advice rather than assuming they are caused by chafing.

If neck irritation continues despite these measures, contact our Customer Service team at [email protected], so we can help assess the fit and your experience with the wetsuit.
